![]() If it was a car or truck you'd take it to your regular mechanic and he would listen to it, then he'd put it up on the lift and look carefully at everything underneath and he'd put his diagnostic tool into the port and see if any error codes come up on his computer, etc etc. This is why you want to have it carefully inspected by a qualified (and trusted) piano technician who will advise you wisely. All too often though the reason is that it has a problem that they don't want to spend the money on to fix properly so they decide to get rid of it and let someone else deal with it. Sometimes the reason is simply that no one uses it anymore and they would like to pass it along to someone else who will get good use from it. Once/year would be considered minimal maintenance.Īnd remember.when people sell a piano (or just about anything) there is always a reason. ![]()
